This morning we depart for the peninsula of Argolis, home of Corinth, the most wealthy and important city in the time of Paul. Here the Apostle worked with Aquila and Priscilla. The mostly Gentile Church he founded here caused him at least four letters to them. Paul’s trial by Gallio took place in the agora (Acts 18:12 -17). It is from Corinth, also, that Paul wrote to the Thessalonians. On our return, we visit the ruins of Cenchaeae, the harbor from which St. Paul sailed to Ephesus (Acts 18: 18). Later we will explore the historic sites of Mycenea and Epidaurus, containing the best preserved open air theatre in Greece. Our evening is in Athens. (B, D)

This morning we transfer to the port of Piraeus for our Greek Isle cruise. Our first stop of the day is the island of mykonos, A beautiful island of white washed houses and beautiful vistas. We are shuttled to the town followed by some time for shopping (B,L,D)
Arrival at KUSADASI in turkey and tour included to Ephesus, through paved street of marble, you can admire the masterpieces of ancient architecture, such as the Megnesia Gate and the Celso Library. Before arriving at the amphitheater in which St. Paul was imprisoned before his expulsion from the city. We will depart from the port of KUSADASI to PATMOS. Time to freely visit this quiet island known for being the place where St. John the Evangelist wrote the Apocalypse during his exile from Rome. The cave in which according to tradition lived the apostle, is today the Monastery of the Apocalypse. Drive through Kozani to veria, then on to visit the tomb of Philip of Macedonia in vergina. Continue to Thessaloniki where you will see the Rotonda, Triumphal Arch of Galerious, and the seafront promenade with the White Tower. Depart for the ancient site of Veria (Beria of Acts 17), a modern shrine commemorating Paul‘s visit, and to Vergina, one of the most important sites in Northern Greece. Then proceed to Thessaloniki, known as Salonika in ancient times, for a panoramic visit. The New Testament books of Thessalonians are Paul’s correspondence with the people of this church. (B,D)
We devote ourselves today to Philippi named after king Philippi on the second missionary journey and Paul returned on his third (Acts 20:2-6). Following the Baptism of Lydia, the first Christian church in Europe was established here. we will visit the ruins of the area, including the site commemorating Lydia’s baptism and the place where St. Paul was imprisoned. We return to Thessaloniki for the evening. (B, D)
Today we dedicate our selves to Thessaloniki and St. Paul’s Letters to the Thessalonians. Paul established the first church here (Acts 17: 1-10). Ruins of an early Christian church are near the palace of Galerius. We examine in Paul’s letters to this community his unbounded determination to continue the Church. After visits to several churches and the Old Town, we return to our hotel to reflect on our day. (B, D)
